Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.
Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were contacted late on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued fluid.
The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.
Police then discovered multiple other marked automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.
These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.
Police report initial examinations show the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.
"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; officials are not yet informed of any injuries in relation with the event," they commented.
Local authorities said they were trying "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for details.
A high-ranking political figure stated the incident left him speechless and required to be addressed rapidly.
"This event hits the center of Hanau and revives the wounds of the extremist violent incident in 2020," he stated on social media, referring to the murder of nine victims by a assailant targeting residents of migrant background in 2020.
